Friday Live at Sew ’N Sweep: Fabric, Notions & Absolutely No Adult Supervision

If you follow Sew ’N Sweep on Facebook, you may already know that Friday is one of our favorite days of the week!

Every Friday, Liz and I go LIVE on Facebook to show you what’s new around the store — new fabric, new notions, fun sewing goodies, and whatever else has managed to find its way through our doors that week.

And somehow, what is supposed to be a nice, organized Facebook Live usually turns into us laughing, joking around, getting distracted by fabric, and having an absolute blast.

Honestly, we wouldn't have it any other way.

One of the best parts about owning a fabric and sewing store is that there is ALWAYS something new to show you.

New fabric collections arrive.

New notions show up that we suddenly decide everyone needs.

Patterns appear that immediately make us want to start another project even though we already have approximately 47 unfinished ones.

You know… normal sewing behavior.

Our Friday Facebook Lives give us a chance to actually show you everything up close instead of just posting a picture. We can unfold the fabric, talk about the colors, show you coordinating prints, explain new notions, and give you ideas for what you could make with everything.

And because it's LIVE, you can join the conversation!

Ask questions. Tell us which fabric you love. Let us know what you want to see. Or just hang out with us while we wander around the store finding things we forgot we wanted to show you.

Are Our Facebook Lives Professional?

Define "professional."

Do we show you beautiful new fabrics and useful sewing notions? Absolutely.

Do we try to give you helpful information? Yes.

Do Liz and I occasionally get completely sidetracked, start laughing, forget what we were talking about, or enable each other's fabric addictions?

Also yes.

That's part of the fun.

We want our Facebook page to feel like Sew ’N Sweep actually feels when you walk through the door — friendly, relaxed, helpful, a little goofy, and filled with people who genuinely love sewing, quilting, fabric, and our customers.

We're The Fun Store, after all. We have a reputation to maintain.
