When you shop at a local business like Sew 'N Sweep, you're not just walking into a store—you're getting to know the people (and pets!) who put their hearts into keeping it going.
On November 24, 2023, Johannah and Jeremy officially became the owners of Sew 'N Sweep, purchasing the store from the previous owners, Michael and Hether. Since then, they've been proud to continue the tradition of friendly, knowledgeable service while adding their own personality and passion to the store.

Meet Johannah
Johannah has always had a creative side, which makes owning a sewing store a pretty natural fit! In her free time, she loves knitting and sewing, and there's usually another project waiting for her attention.
When she isn't working with fabric or yarn, Johannah enjoys reading and rock climbing. Whether she's tackling a new sewing project or a climbing wall, she loves learning, creating, and taking on a new challenge.
Her love of sewing also means she understands what our customers experience—the excitement of choosing a new project, the frustration when something doesn't go quite as planned, and the wonderful feeling when everything finally comes together.

Meet Jeremy
Jeremy is a tinkerer at heart. When he's not busy at Sew 'N Sweep, he enjoys working on and tinkering with cars. He loves figuring out how things work, fixing problems, and getting his hands dirty.
When it's time to relax, Jeremy enjoys watching horror movies, playing video games, and building LEGO sets. Give him something mechanical to figure out, a good horror movie, or a pile of LEGO bricks, and he's happy!

And Then There's Patches…
Of course, no introduction to the Sew 'N Sweep family would be complete without Patches, Johannah and Jeremy's dog and our unofficial head of HR! 🐾
Patches takes his HR responsibilities very seriously—although his idea of "human resources" involves a lot more treats, belly rubs, and backyard adventures than paperwork.
When he's off duty, Patches loves rolling around in the backyard and racing the neighborhood kids along the fence line. He's always ready for a little friendly competition and takes his job as backyard supervisor just as seriously as his HR position.
Every family business needs a good HR department, and we think ours is pretty pawsome! 🐶

More Than Just a Store
For Johannah and Jeremy, Sew 'N Sweep is more than a business. It's a place where people can come in, ask questions, learn something new, get help with their machines, find inspiration for their next project, and feel comfortable talking with people who genuinely enjoy what they do.
Since taking over Sew 'N Sweep in November 2023, Johannah and Jeremy have been incredibly grateful for the customers who continue to walk through the doors, support a locally owned small business, and become part of the Sew 'N Sweep family.
We love getting to know the people who shop with us, hearing about your latest sewing projects, helping you find the right machine or vacuum, and being a part of the local community.
So, the next time you stop by Sew 'N Sweep, say hello to Johannah and Jeremy!
And as for Patches? he'll be busy running the HR department, supervising the backyard, and preparing for her next race along the fence. 🐾❤️
