Welcome to The Wonky Stitch β€” You've Been Warned! πŸ˜‚

Raw, Real & Relatable with Johannah

Well, well, well. Look who wandered into my little corner of the internet!

WELCOME! I'm glad you're here. Although, you might want to reconsider once you see what goes on inside my head. HA HA!

Welcome to The Wonky Stitch, where the stories are real, the sarcasm is free, and my filter occasionally takes an unscheduled vacation.

So, what's this blog about?

GOOD QUESTION! I'm not entirely sure myself. πŸ˜‚

You can expect stories about the chaos of owning Sew 'N Sweep, the strange things that happen at the mall, my adventures in sewing and quilting, and the occasional rant about something that has gotten on my last nerve.

There will also be times when I fall madly in love with a sewing machine or vacuum cleaner and feel the need to tell everyone about it.

Apparently, I've reached the age where a sewing machine excites me more than a new pair of shoes.

I'm not even embarrassed about it.

My Store. My Stories. My Rules.

I've always loved writing. But lately, I've been told to keep my emails short, professional, and straight to the point.

Don't write too much. Don't ramble. Make sure you're selling something.

GOOD GRIEF! CAN A WOMAN JUST TELL A STORY?!

Somewhere along the way, my emails started sounding like they were written by a corporate marketing department that had never experienced joy.

And frankly, I was boring MYSELF.

So I'm taking my writing back!

No fancy marketing formulas. No pretending to be someone I'm not. Just me, my thoughts, and whatever nonsense happens to be going on that week.

Before You Get Too Comfortable...

A little warning.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE READING, YOU MIGHT BE IN THE WRONG PLACE. πŸ˜‚

Sometimes my stories will be short. Sometimes they'll be long enough that you'll need a snack and a bathroom break.

I might start writing about a beautiful quilt and somehow end up telling you about a camel cricket that tried to launch itself at my face.

Don't ask. It's a whole thing.

I also make absolutely no promises about staying on topic.

My brain has approximately 47 tabs open, and I have no idea where the music is coming from.

So grab a cup of tea, find a comfortable chair, and settle in.

Bring your own chair, though. I don't even have chairs behind my counter at the store.

Apparently, I'm a terrible boss. πŸ˜‚

Why The Wonky Stitch?

Because life isn't perfect, neither are our seams, and sometimes the seam ripper gets more exercise than we do.

And you know what?

THAT'S OKAY!

This blog isn't about being perfectly polished, following marketing rules, or trying to sell you something every five minutes.

It's about real stories, honest opinions, laughter, and the occasional moment when you wonder whether I should be allowed to operate a sewing machine unsupervised.

If I make you laugh, smile, or shake your head and say, "What on earth is wrong with that woman?" then I've done my job.

Welcome to The Wonky Stitch!

I'm glad you're here.

And remember...

YOU SIGNED UP FOR THIS. I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT YOU READ NEXT! πŸ˜‚

With love, laughter, and absolutely no promises of good behavior,

Johannah
Owner of Sew 'N Sweep
Professional overthinker, tea drinker, and occasional seam ripper enthusiast.
